Terms of Service

    Last updated: October 2026

    Acceptance of these terms

By using linkto.email — with or without an account — you agree to these terms. Here, "we" and "the service" mean linkto.email. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

    What the service does

linkto.email turns an email address into a short HTTPS link. When someone opens that link, their device opens a mailto: address with the recipient, subject and body you set, so their email app opens already filled in.

We don't send email on your behalf, and we can't control which email app the visitor's device opens.

    Your account

Sign-in is handled by Clerk. You're responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for everything created under it.

You can also create a link without an account. Anonymous links are rate-limited to one link per 24 hours, expire 2 hours after creation, and can be saved to an account from the browser where they were created.

    Acceptable use

Don't use linkto.email for spam, phishing, harassment, illegal content, or anything that infringes someone else's rights. Don't use it to work around plan limits or to overload the service.

You're responsible for the content you put into your links — recipient, subject and body. We may disable a link or an account that breaks these rules.

    Plans and payments

Test links are free and stop working 2 hours after they're created (free accounts can create 5 test links per month). A permanent link is a one-time purchase for a single link: that link never expires and gets a custom slug, CC/BCC, full analytics and no branding on the link page. Pro (yearly or monthly) and Pro Lifetime make every link on your account permanent and remove the monthly limit.

Payments are processed by Stripe: Pro yearly and Pro monthly are subscriptions that renew automatically until you cancel; Pro Lifetime and permanent links are one-time payments. You can cancel a subscription at any time and keep Pro access until the end of the period you already paid for. Payments are not refundable except where required by applicable law.

    Links and data

How long a link lasts depends on the link and your plan: test links (anonymous or from a free account) expire 2 hours after creation; permanent links, and links on Pro or Lifetime accounts, don't expire. An expired link keeps its address and can be reactivated. A link created without an account can be reactivated from the browser where it was created, or from the link's own page by confirming the email address it sends to — we email the reactivation link to that address.

Click analytics never store the visitor's IP address or user agent, and are deleted after 12 months. Details are in our privacy policy at linkto.email/privacy.

    Availability and liability

The service is provided "as is", with no uptime guarantee. We may change, limit or discontinue features at any time.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or indirect damages.

    Changes, governing law and contact

We may update these terms; the date above always reflects the current version, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil.
